Fair Ball Arc: A 20-foot arc will be drawn from the first baseline to the third baseline in front of home plate. A batted ball must travel beyond this arc to be considered a fair ball.
Safety Arc: A 30-foot arc will be drawn from the first baseline to the third baseline in front of home plate. Infielders are required to stay behind this arc until the ball is pitched.
Pitching Circle: A 10-foot diameter circle shall be established on the field. The front edge of this circle must be positioned 42 feet from the rear point of home plate.
Pitcher’s Line: A line shall be drawn from the pitcher's circle to the safety arc.
The pitching coach must maintain one foot on or straddling this line.
The coach is permitted to pitch from any position between the 30-foot safety arc and the 42-foot pitching circle.
The pitching coach is prohibited from providing any verbal or physical coaching while in the pitching position.
Furthermore, the pitching coach shall position themselves in a manner that does not obstruct the defensive team on any potential play subsequent to the pitch.
Pitching Coach: The individual serving as the Pitching Coach must be an adult who is at least eighteen years of age.
Catcher: Catchers must receive pitches within the catcher's box using standard baseball techniques. Failure to do so will result in a warning from the umpire. Continued violations after a warning will lead to the ejection of the offending team's manager.
Outfielders: Teams may play with 10 players on defense, 4 outfielders. The outfielders must remain behind the baseline until the ball is put into play.
Defensive Player: The designated pitcher must remain within the pitching circle until the ball is hit.
Penalty: Play continues. The batting team may choose to accept the result of the play or call it a no-pitch.
Additional Penalties: First Offense: Warning issued to the pitcher. Second Offense: The pitcher is removed from the pitching position for the rest of the game.
Defensive Coaches: Defensive coaches are prohibited from entering the field of play.
Infield Fly Rule: There is no infield fly rule.
Batting Order:
Initial Order: The starting batting order must include all players present on the team roster at the game's start. Late arrivals are added to the end of the order.
Full Roster Participation: All rostered players must bat once before the order repeats.
Minimum Players: Games can begin with eight players. The ninth and tenth positions in the batting order are automatic outs each time they come up.
Late Additions: Players arriving after the game begins can be added to the end of the batting order as soon as they are available.
Defensive Substitutions: Defensive players can be substituted freely, however, the batting order cannot be changed.
Bunting: Bunting is not allowed.
Batters: Each batter will receive a maximum of six pitches or be called out on three swinging strikes.
Intentional Walks: A batter may only be intentionally walked once per game. This must be announced by the defensive team.
Runners: Runners must remain at their base until the ball is hit or scores. Leaving a base early results in an out.
Courtesy Runner:
Eligibility: Only the catcher who caught in the previous inning is eligible for a courtesy runner.
Runner Selection: If an out was recorded in the previous inning, the courtesy runner is the player who made that out. If no outs were recorded, the courtesy runner is the previous batter who is not currently on base.
Catcher Responsibility: If a courtesy runner is used for a player, that player must catch in the next inning.
First Inning Exception: This rule applies only in the first inning for the visiting team.
Run Limit: Teams can score no more than 7 runs per inning.
Elimination: The game is over if the opposing team is mathematically eliminated from scoring enough runs to win or force extra innings. (Run Rules still apply).
Umpires Time: Umpires shall call 'Time' and declare the ball dead after every play concludes. 'Time' must be called as soon as all runners have ceased attempting to advance. Defensive requests for 'Time' are not required for this rule to apply.
Clarification: If a runner stands off-base and engages in feinting or "juking" motions, it shall be considered as not attempting to advance, and the umpire must call 'Time'.
If a batted ball hits the Pitching Coach:
No Attempt to Avoid Contact: If the umpire determines the coach did not attempt to avoid the ball, the batter is out, and no runners advance.
Legitimate Attempt to Avoid Contact: If the umpire determines the coach made a legitimate attempt to avoid the ball, the ball is dead, and it's declared a no-pitch.
