Perfect Game - Kid-Pitch Rules (7U-8U)
Kid-Pitch Tournament Rules

Leadoffs: No leading off bases.

Stealing Home: Stealing home is strictly prohibited. A runner who begins a play on third base may only advance to home plate on a batted ball, or when forced to do so due to a walk, being hit by a pitch, or a forced play occurring with the bases loaded.

Walks & Dead Ball: When a batter receives a walk, it is considered a "dead ball" situation. This means the batter is awarded first base, and any runners forced to advance due to the walk may only advance to the next base.

Advancing Home: A runner starting from first or second base is permitted to advance home as a direct result of a batted ball during the continuation of a play. It is important to note that there is no mandatory "red light" at third base, meaning runners are not required to stop at third base during a live play.

Stealing 3B: A runner who steals from second base to third base may not advance to home plate on a catcher's overthrow. The runner must remain at third base. Runners are not permitted to leave their base until the ball crosses the plate. For a first offense of leaving the base early, the result is a dead ball and a warning. A second offense will result in a dead ball, the offending runner being called out, and all other runners returning to their previously occupied bases. No balls or strikes will be charged to the batter in the case of a second offense.

Dropped Third Strike: The batter is not permitted to run to first base on a dropped third strike.

Bunting: One successful sacrifice bunt per inning is allowed and there will be no "butcher boy" allowed (which is when you show bunt, pull back to swing).

Balks: There are no balks.

Infield Fly Rule: There is no infield fly rule.

Run Max per Inning: Teams are limited to seven runs per inning.

Defensive Setup: Fielding teams consist of nine players.
