Perfect Game - Lineups
Hitting Lineups

You have the option to bat nine, ten, or eleven players, or utilize your entire roster.

You must declare your batting order before the first pitch. After the first pitch, the lineup is set and the number of batters cannot be altered.

Games may begin with eight players. The ninth spot in the batting order will be considered an out when it comes up.

Designated Hitters (DHs) are permitted.

The 10th hitter, if used, is designated as EH. The 11th hitter, if used, is designated as XH on the lineup card.

The EH and XH can bat anywhere in the lineup.

Substitution rules for the EH and XH are the same as for any other fielding position.

Starting pitchers may DH for themselves and bat anywhere in the order. They must be listed as 'P/DH' on the lineup card.

Teams may bat all players on their roster.

Lineup Card Requirements

Completeness: Lineup cards must be accurately filled out with each player's first and last name, position, and jersey number.

Substitute Listing: All substitutes must be listed on the card with their accurate jersey numbers.

Timeliness: Failure to submit a complete lineup card may result in game delays.

Submission: Lineup cards must be submitted to the official scorekeeper before the pre-game home plate meeting.

Roster Batting Rules

Injury:

Batter: If a batter is unable to complete their at-bat due to injury or illness, they are removed from the game. Their spot in the batting order will be considered an automatic out for the remainder of the game.

Runner: When a runner is injured and cannot continue on the bases, a courtesy runner may be used from the team's roster. The injured runner is removed from the game and their spot in the batting order will be considered an out for the remainder of the game.

Ejection or Injury:

If a player is ejected while roster batting, they are removed from the game for the remainder of the contest. Their spot in the batting order will be recorded as an automatic out each time it comes up.

Courtesy Runner – Roster Batting:

The Courtesy Runner will be the player who made the last out at bat.
