Rain Policy

Rained-out games may not be rescheduled due to time constraints. Teams are responsible for staying informed of any schedule changes, which will be posted on the tournament website when available. No special requests regarding rescheduling will be considered.

The tournament format may be adjusted at any time to ensure the fairest outcome for all teams. Coaches must provide the tournament committee with current contact information. In case of game cancellations, pool winners and championship qualification will be determined according to the tie-breaking procedures outlined below.

Perfect Game SEC - Inclement Weather Procedures

In the event of inclement weather, Perfect Game SEC will use the following standards for bracket placement and tournament credits.

Bracket Placement

2-0 & 1-0 Teams:

Placement will follow pool standings, with all 2-0 teams seeded higher than 1-0 teams.

1-0-1 Teams:

Any 1-0-1 team will always be seeded higher than a 1-1 team.

1-1 Teams:

  • Any 1-1 team will always be seeded higher than:
    • Any team without a win (0-1 or 0-2), and
    • Any team with no games played (0-0).

0-0-1 Teams:

Any 0-0-1 team will always be seeded higher than 0-1 and 0-2 teams.

0-2 & 0-1 Teams:

Placement will be determined by average runs allowed, then average runs scored for pool standings.

0-0 Teams:

Placement will be based on the team's current-year winning percentage.

A 0-0 team cannot rank above any undefeated team, regardless of winning percentage.

A 0-0 team will be seeded ahead of any 0-2 or 0-1 team in that tournament.

If two or more teams have the same winning percentage, a coin flip will determine seeding.

Tie vs. Loss Rule:

Any team with a tie will always be seeded higher than a team with a loss, regardless of other factors.

These rules ensure a fair and competitive bracket breakdown for Sunday play.

Tournament Credit Policy (3-Game Guarantee)

  • No Games Played: 100% credit of entry fee
  • 1 Game Played: 66% credit of entry fee
  • 2 Game Played: 33% credit of entry fee
  • 3 Game Played: No credit (guarantee fulfilled)

This policy provides teams with fair compensation when weather prevents scheduled games from being completed.
