Teams are expected to field nine eligible players at the start of each game. If a team cannot field nine players at the start of the game, the game may commence with eight players, with the ninth lineup spot considered an automatic out. Games may be completed with eight players.

If no eligible substitutes are available, the player leaving the original lineup will be recorded as an out until they can return to the game. Any intentional forfeit may result in the forfeiting team's elimination from the tournament. All forfeit decisions will be made by the tournament committee.

No team shall gain an unfair advantage from a forfeit. The committee reserves the right to resolve any disputes related to forfeits in the fairest manner possible. The committee's decision regarding forfeits is final.

The forfeit score will be recorded as the average runs scored by the winning team against zero runs for the losing team. Only the Head Director possesses the authority to declare a forfeit.
